The project involved the construction of a new district office and maintenance facility for the Childress District of the Texas Department of Transportation. The facility included standard office space, laboratory testing areas, and a vehicle maintenance shop. There were a total of seven different buildings on the new site to accommodate all of the required services.

The mechanical systems for the project utilized standard split system heating and cooling units. Radiant tube heating was installed in the large vehicle maintenance bays. Special plumbing systems were installed to accommodate the lab spaces as well as the vehicle maintenance areas.

Electrical systems for the project included lighting, power, communications, and fire alarm systems. Each building on the site was provided with emergency power from two on-site emergency generators. Each building was supplied with a separate electrical transformer provided by the power company. Critical communications pathways were installed between all buildings to allow for communications systems to be integrated.

Agnew Associates provided the following services: HVAC, electrical and plumbing design, construction documents, and construction administration.
