In 1997, the original
third floor area of Memorial Hospital and Medical Center was renovated. This renovation included newly
designed patient rooms and nurse stations.Agnew
Associates designed HVAC systems that included individual, four-pipe fan coil units to
serve each patient room and other designated areas. New piping was installed to the
existing central plant. All of the new fan coil units were connected to the existing
building automation system.
Plumbing
design included standard services for toilets and treatment
areas including de-ionized water. Medical gas systems included oxygen, vacuum, and
compressed air.
For the electrical
systems, Agnew Associates designed energy efficient fluorescent lighting with specialized
halogen quartz exam lighting in treatment and examination rooms. Power distribution was
designed to include emergency power from the facility's central distribution systems.
Other electrical systems included fire alarm, communications, nurse call, and code blue
systems.
Agnew Associates provided the following services: HVAC, electrical, and plumbing design,
construction documents, and construction administration. |
