David is Vice President and chief mechanical engineer at Agnew Associates. In 1997, David joined Agnew
Associates to provide added depth in the fields of facility design services, energy and
performance-based services, construction administration, and commissioning of new and
existing systems. From 1994 to 1997, David was the Director of Energy Management for Texas
Tech University Health Sciences Center. His duties included project management on
infrastructure-related projects and management of the $5 million-dollar utility accounts
for the four campuses in West Texas.
PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
David has experience with designing heating, ventilating, air conditioning (HVAC) systems,
and plumbing systems for many different building types. These include performing arts
centers, laboratories, telephone equipment buildings, university facilities, central
plants, churches, elementary and secondary schools, hospitals, and office buildings. He
has managed and designed government projects for General Services Administration, US Air
Force, Corps of Engineers, Veterans Administration, Navy Reserve, National Guard &
Reserve, and Department of Public Transportation.
David's work has included both new construction and renovation of existing facilities
including over 40 projects for Texas Tech University and its Health Science Center, and
various elementary, junior high, and senior high schools, and administration buildings for
Lubbock ISD and other school districts in the region.
