February 16, 2000 Midland International Airport Featured in Texas Architect LUBBOCK, TX – Wednesday, February 16, 2000 - Agnew Associates, Inc. is proud to announce the recognition of the City of Midland’s Midland International Airport featured in the Texas Architect. The City of Midland selected the architectural/engineering team of Parkhill Smith & Cooper/Agnew Associates to design the Midland International Airport. The new terminal was officially opened January 16, 1999. The project was featured in the November/December 1999 issue of Texas Architect, "Gates of the City" by Lawrence Connolly. The $35 million, 185,000-square-foot airport was designed to symbolize an aircraft wing. "Agnew Associates was proud to be an integral part of the success of the new airport terminal," said Reese Wright, vice president of Agnew Associates. "The project was completed in budget without any major problems or delays. We appreciate the great piece featuring the project in Texas Architect."
